National Feedstuffs Market Review

The USDA Market News Service reports fed ingredient prices for the week ending August 
20, 2019 were mixed. Soybean Meal was 3.00 to 15.00 lower, mostly 5.20 lower. 
Cottonseed Meal was steady to 5.00 lower, mostly steady. Whole Cottonseed was steady 
to 15.00 lower.  Canola Meal was mixed, 5.20 lower to 4.00 higher. Linseed Meal was 
5.00 to 10.00 lower. Sunflower Meal was steady to 15.00 higher. Crude Soybean Oil was 
24 to 74 points lower, mostly 74 points lower. Corn Oil was steady. Ruminant Meat and 
Bone Meal was 20.00 lower to 10.00 higher, mostly steady to 20.00 lower. Ruminant 
Blood Meal was steady to 50.00 lower. Feather Meal was steady. Yellow Corn Hominy was 
steady. Corn Gluten Feed was steady to 5.00 higher. Corn Gluten Meal was steady. 
Distillers Dried Grain was mixed, 10.00 lower to 1.00 higher, mostly steady to 10.00 
lower. Wheat Millfeeds were mixed, 6.00 lower to 9.00 higher, mostly steady to 5.00 
lower.  Wheat Millrun were mixed, 10.00 lower to 5.00 higher.

Oilseeds: The September Soybean Meal futures closed 5.20 lower at 294.00 and October 
closed 5.00 lower at 295.90. The September Soybean Oil futures closed 74 points lower 
at 28.43 centers per pound, the October Soybean Oil futures closed 75 points lower at 
28.54 cents per pound.  The Rail delivery of high protein Soybean Meal in Central 
Illinois was 5.20 lower from 290.00-304.00; Indiana-Ohio was 3.20 to 10.20 lower from 
289.00-299.00; Iowa was 5.20 lower from 274.00-282.00; Kansas City was 5.20 lower 
from 282.00-287.00; Minneapolis was 5.20 lower from 266.00-269.00, St. Louis was 3.00 
lower from 312.00-317.00; Memphis was 1.40 lower from 292.00-318.00; Portland was 
8.20 to 15.00 lower from 330.00-340.00; BN Santa Fe/Union Pacific delivered Chino 
Valley was 1.40 to 4.70 lower from 327.5-339.80. Cottonseed Meal FOB the Central San 
Joaquin Valley in California was steady from 258.00-285.00; Kansas City was steady to 
5.00 lower from 255.00-275.00; St. Louis was steady at 270.00; Memphis was steady 
from 220.00-225.00. Whole Cottonseed FOB the Central San Joaquin Valley in California 
was steady from 355.00-370.00; delivered to Portland was steady to 15.00 lower from 
340.00-395.00; Memphis was 15.00 lower at 250.00. Offers for nearby delivered Canola 
Meal, 34 to 36 percent protein, delivered to Portland was not available; FOB Central 
San Joaquin Valley truck was steady to 4.00 higher from 280.00-295.00; Minneapolis 
was 5.20 lower from 199.00-219.00. Linseed Meal in North Dakota-Minnesota 5.00 to 
10.00 lower from 215.00-250.00. Sunflower Meal in North Dakota-Minnesota was steady 
to 15.00 higher 140.00-160.00. The Soybean Oil in Central Illinois was 24 points 
lower from 28.43-28.68 cents per pound; Indiana-Ohio was 74 points lower from 28.43-
30.43 cents per pound; Iowa was 74 points lower from 27.93-29.68 cents per pound; 
Minnesota was 74 points lower from 28.48-29.68 cents per pound. Crude Corn Oil in 
Central Illinois was steady from 26.50-28.00 cents per pound.

ANIMAL PROTEINS: Ruminant Meat and Bone Meal in the Central U.S. was mixed, 20.00 
lower to 10.00 higher from 220.00-250.00; FOB the Texas Panhandle was steady to 20.00 
lower from 180.00-200.00; Minneapolis was steady from 200.00-225.00; Kansas City was 
steady at 200.00; St. Louis was not available; Portland FOB Northwest Plants was 
steady from 170.00-215.00; FOB Central and Northern California was steady from 
200.00-210.00; FOB Los Angeles was steady from 200.00-210.00. Pork Meat and Bone Meal 
in the Central U.S. had no quote; Eastern Corn Belt had no quote; Minneapolis was 
steady to 10.00 higher from 235.00-255.00; St. Louis was not available. Ruminant 
Blood Meal in the Central U.S. was steady at 650.00; the Texas Panhandle was 575.00; 
Minneapolis was 25.00 to 50.00 higher from 625.00-750.00; delivered to the San 
Joaquin Valley was 25.00 lower at 750.00. Pork Blood Meal in the Central U.S. had no 
quote; Eastern Corn Belt had no quote; Minneapolis was steady to 35.00 higher from 
675.00-750.00. Feather Meal in Kansas City was steady from 340.00-350.00; Minneapolis 
was steady from 300.00-370.00; Arkansas was steady from 325.00-330.00; Mississippi 
was steady from 325.00-330.00. 

CORN FEEDS: Yellow Corn Hominy in Central Illinois was steady at 102.00 for rail, 
truck was 2.00 lower at 108.00; Kansas City (Northwest) was not available; St. Louis 
was not available; California rail was steady from 195.00-203.00, truck was steady to 
5.00 lower from 185.00-203.00. Corn Gluten Feed in the Midwest (NE,IA,IL, IN) was 
5.00 higher from 95.00-110.00; Kansas City was steady from 157.00-160.00; St. Louis 
was steady at 150.00, California was steady from 195.00-205.00. Corn Gluten Meal, 60 
percent protein in the Midwest (IA, IL, IN) was steady from 350.00-380.00; Kansas 
City was not available; St. Louis was steady at 420.00. Distillers Dried Grain prices 
in Iowa was steady to 10.00 lower from 115.00-140.00; Eastern Cornbelt (IL, IN, OH, 
MI) was 2.00 to 10.00 lower from 115.00-140.00; Kansas was steady to 5.00 lower from 
125.00-150.00; Minnesota was steady from 120.00-130.00; Nebraska was mixed, 5.00 
lower to 1.00 higher from 120.00-136.00; Wisconsin was steady to 5.00 lower from 
115.00-135.00; South Dakota was steady to 7.00 lower from 110.00-129.00; Missouri was 
5.00 lower from 140.00-150.00; St. Louis was not available; California was steady 
from 186.00-200.00; Pacific Northwest mills were steady to 5.00 lower from 190.00-
195.00.

WHEAT MILLFEEDS: Wheat Millfeeds in Buffalo, NY was steady at 85.00; Kansas City was 
steady to 6.00 lower from 69.00-90.00; Minneapolis was 5.00 lower from 80.00-105.00; 
St. Louis was 9.00 higher from 95.00-105.00. Wheat Millrun delivered Portland was 
5.00 higher at 185.00; FOB Los Angeles mill was 1.00 to 10.00 lower from 125.00-
170.00.

OTHERS: In the south Rice Bran, Millfeed and Rice Hulls were steady. In California, Rice 
Bran prices and Rice hulls were steady. Alfalfa Meal prices were steady to 5.00 lower, 
mostly steady across the nation this past week.
