SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,486 lbs at 186.42, heifers 1,342 lbs at 186.23. Dressed 
delivered steers 952 lbs at 294.63, heifers 859 lbs at 294.50.  Weekly 
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 294.51, dn 
2.12 and Select 288.77, dn 1.91.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week, early 
weaned pigs and all feeder pigs steady.  Demand good for moderate offerings.
Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 41.25; 40 lbs cash basis 79.02.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs price was 72.70. Sows 
live price 300-449 lbs 46.69, 450-499 lbs 54.88, and 500-549 lbs 55.81.
   SC Grain on Monday: Corn was 9 to 10 cents higher; elevator bids 4.24-
5.17, processor bids 4.72-5.04.  Soybeans bids were 33 to 37 cents higher; 
elevator bids 10.98-11.95, processor bid 12.84 and export 12.99.  New crop 
wheat bids were 9 to 27 cents higher; elevator bids 4.84-6.19.
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.00 lower 
at 73.81.
