SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,464 lbs at 182.67, heifers 1,335 lbs at 182.52. Dressed 
delivered steers 966 lbs at 292.35, heifers 870 lbs at 292.19.  Weekly 
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 297.44, dn 
2.83 and Select 290.99, dn 6.39.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week, early 
weaned pigs were 3.00 lower and feeder pigs are 8.00 lower.  Demand 
moderate for moderate offerings.  Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 41.92; 
40 lbs cash basis 95.18.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs price was not compared at 
67.09. Sows live price 300-449 lbs 56.40, 450-499 lbs 60.54, and 500-549 
lbs 60.84.
   SC Grain on Monday: Corn was 6 to 7 cents higher; elevator bids 3.94-
4.99, processor bids 4.99-5.04.  Soybeans bids were mostly 11 cents 
higher with one location 21 cents higher; elevator bids 10.26-11.21, 
processor bid 12.06 and export 12.21.  New crop wheat bids were 2 to 7 
cents higher; elevator bids 4.85-5.57.
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.40 
higher at 79.17.
