SC Farm Report on Friday   
	          
   SC Cattle Auctions Weekly Review:  Compared to last week, all classes 
of feeder cattle were unevenly steady.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 
1-2 400-500 lbs 130.00-143.00; 500-600 lbs 120.00-140.00.  Feeder Bulls: 
Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 117.50-138.00; 500-600 lbs 117.00-
137.00.  Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 112.00-133.00, 
500-600 lbs 113.00-125.50.  Slaughter cows were steady to 2.00 higher. 
Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 55.00-67.00; Boners 80-85% lean 
50.00-74.00; Lean 85-90% lean 50.00-63.00; Lean low dressing 35.00-
51.00.  Slaughter bulls were 3.00 higher.  Slaughter bulls: 970-2035 lbs 
68.00-109.00. 
   Goats: [310]  Week Ago: 360.  Reported Monday to Wednesday. Slaughter 
and replacement classes sold on a per head basis and weights are 
estimated.  Kids:  Sel 1 20-40 lbs 22.50-60.00, 40-60 lbs 40.00-85.00, 
60-80 lbs 55.00-115.00, 80-100 lbs 120.00-125.00.  Wethers: Slaughter 1 
and 2 80-100 lbs 155.00-215.00, 100-150 lbs 180.00-300.00, 150-250 lbs 
250.00-330.00.  Does/Nannies: Sel 1 50-70 lbs 80.00-125.00, 70-100 lbs 
100.00-125.00, 100-140 lbs 100.00-305.00; Sel 2 50-70 lbs 75.00-100.00, 
70-100 lbs one @ 75.00, 100-140 lbs one @ 95.00.  Bucks/Billies: Sel 1 
70-100 lbs 122.50-160.00, 100-150 lbs 130.00-175.00, 150-250 lbs 145.00-
265.00; Sel 2 70-100 lbs one @ 72.50.  Pairs/Trios:  Sel 1 100-140 lbs 
with One Kid under 20 lbs one @ 200.00 per pair.
   SC Grain on Friday. New Crop corn was 4 to 7 cents higher; elevator 
bids 4.65-4.81, processor bids 4.80-5.16.  Soybeans were 20 to 21 cents 
higher; elevator bids 8.26-8.62, processor bid 9.36, and export 9.21.  
Wheat bids were mostly 7 to 12 cents higher; elevator bids 4.88-5.22.  
   Cotton on Friday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.47 
higher at 59.25. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State 
Farmers Market on Friday.  Beans 8 lb filmbags shelled 26.00-30.00, Lima
