SC Farm Report on Thursday  
  	
   Cattle at SC Auctions on Wednesday:  Compared to last week, there 
were too few comparable sales to establish trends. Feeder Steers: Medium 
and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs N/A, 500-600 lbs 120.00-128.00. Feeder Bulls: 
Medium and Large 1-2 400-450 lbs 117.50-128.00; 500-600 lbs 117.00-
125.00.  Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 112.00-123.00; 
500-550 lbs 117.00-118.00.  Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 
58.00-64.00; Boners 80-85% lean 50.00-73.00; Lean 85-90% lean 50.00-
62.00; Lean Low Dressing 35.00-48.00. Slaughter bulls: 970-1890 lbs 
70.00-109.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2 930-1300 lbs Young to Middle 
Age Cows with calves over 300 lbs 875.00-1250.00 per pair.  Small 1-2 
665-960 lbs Young to Middle Age Cow with calf under 300 lbs 525.00-950.00 
per pair.
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 1.12 higher at 53.55.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 30.24; 450-500 lbs 33.88; 500-550 lbs 36.87. 
   SC Grain on Thursday.  New Crop Corn was 9 to 12 cents lower; 
elevator bids 4.59-4.75, processor bids 4.74-5.09.  Soybeans were steady 
to 2 cents lower; elevator bids 8.06-8.42, processor bid 9.16, export bid 
9.01.  Wheat was mostly 12 cents lower; elevator bids 4.79-5.13. 
   Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.11 
lower at 57.78. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State 
Farmers Market on Thursday.  Beans approx. 27 lb sks Lima type Green
