SC Farm Report on Thursday  
  	
   Cattle at SC Auctions on Wednesday:  Compared to two weeks ago, there 
were too few comparable sales to establish trends. Feeder Steers: Medium 
and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 120.00-135.00, 500-600 lbs 120.00-133.00.  
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 400-450 lbs 130.00-137.50; 550-600 lbs 
120.00-122.00.  Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 122.50-
133.00; 500-600 lbs 115.00-122.50.  Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 
N/A; Boners 80-85% lean 53.00-67.00; Lean 85-90% lean 50.00-62.00; Lean 
Low Dressing 41.00-43.00. Slaughter bulls: 955-1930 lbs 72.00-100.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2 1100-1390 lbs Young to Middle 
Age Cows with calves under 300 lbs 925.00-1175.00 per pair.  Small 1-2 
860 lbs Young to Middle Age Cow with calf under 300 lbs 800.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 0.67 higher at 52.05.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 33.72; 450-500 lbs 37.10; 500-550 lbs 39.46. 
   SC Grain on Thursday.  New Crop Corn was 9 to 14 cents higher; 
elevator bids 4.79-4.93, processor bids 4.84-5.14.  Soybeans were 2 to 6 
cents higher; elevator bids 8.24-8.59, processor bid 9.24, export bid 
9.09.  Wheat was mixed; 15 cents lower to 24 cents higher; elevator bids 
5.07-5.35. 
   Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.65 
lower at 59.89. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State 
Farmers Market on Thursday.  Beans bucrts KY type 30.00, 8 lb filmbag
