SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday:  Compared to two weeks ago, feeder 
steers were up to 6.00 higher.  Feeder heifers and feeder bulls were 
steady to 2.00 higher.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 
130.00-144.00, 500-600 lbs 129.00-140.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 
1-2 400-500 lbs 122.00-135.00, 500-600 lbs 119.00-129.00.  Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 118.00-126.00, 500-600 lbs 
112.00-125.00.  Slaughter cows were steady to 2.00 lower. Slaughter cows: 
Breakers 75-80% lean 53.00-63.00; Boners 85-85% lean 54.00-73.00; Lean 
85-90% lean 53.00-58.00; Lean low dressing 40.00-51.00.  Slaughter bulls 
were mostly steady.  Slaughter Bulls: 875-1965 lbs 55.00-105.00. 
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2 910-1315 lbs Young to Middle Age 
Cows with calves under 300 lbs 600.00-1225.00 per pair.  Medium and Large 
1-2 925-1185 lbs Young to Middle Age Cows with calves over 300 lbs 
1050.00-1235.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs was unchanged at 36.58.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 36.57; 450-500 lbs 38.52; 500-550 lbs 40.39. 
   SC Grain on Tuesday:  New crop corn was 5 to 7 cents lower; elevator 
bids 4.67-4.82, processor bids 4.72-5.02.  Soybeans were mostly 7 cents 
higher, and one location was 16 cents higher; elevator bids 8.07-8.46, 
processor bid 9.11, and export 8.92. Wheat was mostly 5 to 7 cents lower; 
elevator bids 4.88-5.34. 
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 2.10 
lower at 60.03. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State 
Farmers Market on Tuesday.  Beans bucrts Snap type 20.00, KY type 30.00;
