SC Farm Report on Thursday  
  	
   Cattle at SC Auctions on Wednesday:  Compared to last week, there were 
too few feeder cattle sales to establish trends. Feeder Steers: Medium 
and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 136.00-151.00, 500-600 lbs 130.00-138.00.  
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 129.00-140.00; 500-600 lbs 
121.00-135.00.  Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 120.00-
128.00; 500-600 lbs 114.00-122.00.  Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 
58.00-65.00; Boners 80-85% lean 53.00-68.00; Lean 85-90% lean 53.00-
64.00; Lean Low Dressing 35.00-50.00. Slaughter bulls: 1065-2020 lbs 
73.00-85.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium 2 855-1075 lbs Young to Middle Age Cows with 
calves under 300 lbs 750.00-925.00 per pair.  Small 1-2 665-765 lbs Young 
to Middle Age Cows with calves under 300 lbs 525.00-600.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 1.00 lower at 58.11.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 39.85; 450-500 lbs 43.48; 500-550 lbs 47.86. 
   SC Grain on Thursday.  New Crop Corn was 8 cents higher; elevator bids 
4.89-5.06, processor bids 4.94-5.24.  Soybeans were 12 to 13 cents 
higher; elevator bids 8.40-8.85, processor bid 9.25, export bid 9.25.  
Wheat was 4 to 8 cents higher and one location was steady; elevator bids 
5.22-5.51. 
   Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.43 
lower at 62.50. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State 
Farmers Market on Thursday.  Beans 8 lb filmbag Butter/Green/Speckled
