SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,387 lbs at 113.62, heifers 1,242 lbs at 112.50. Dressed 
delivered steers 895 lbs at 184.48, heifers 786 lbs at 184.50. Weekly 
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 222.11, dn 
0.47, and Select 206.25, dn 0.82.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm.  Early weaned pigs 2.00 per 
head lower.  All feeder pigs steady. Demand moderate for moderate 
offerings. Receipts include 54% formulated prices. Feeder pigs 10-12 
lbs cash basis 35.81; 40 lbs cash basis 62.99.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 0.45 higher at 58.96.  
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 42.36, 450-499 lbs 46.60, and 500-549 lbs 
49.67.
   SC Grain on Monday.  New Crop Corn was 3 to 5 cents higher; elevator 
bids 4.96-5.14, processor bids 5.01-5.31.  Soybeans were 14 to 16 
cents higher; elevator bids 8.37-8.73, processor bid 9.22, and export 
9.22.  Wheat was steady to 2 cents higher; elevator bids 5.39-5.64. 
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.62 
higher at 64.06.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
