SC Farm Report on Thursday  
  	
   Cattle at SC Auctions on Wednesday:  Compared to last week, there were 
too few feeder cattle sales to establish trends. Feeder Steers: Medium 
and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 135.00-144.00, 500-600 lbs 127.50-136.00.  
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 130.00-142.50; 500-600 lbs 
125.00-135.00.  Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 115.00-
135.00; 500-600 lbs 112.00-125.00.  Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 
58.00-71.00; Boners 80-85% lean 52.00-71.00; Lean 85-90% lean 55.00-
63.00; Lean Low Dressing 34.00-48.00. Slaughter bulls: 920-2145 lbs 
71.50-97.50.
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2 935-1290 lbs Young to Middle Age 
Cows with calves under 300 lbs 850.00-1050.00 per pair.  Medium and Large 
1520 lbs Young to Middle Age Cow with calf over 300 lbs 1100.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 0.08 lower at 58.53.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 44.31; 450-500 lbs 48.42; 500-550 lbs 52.77. 
   SC Grain on Thursday.  New Crop Corn was 7 to 10 cents higher; 
elevator bids 4.82-4.86, processor bids 4.88-5.18.  Soybeans were 10 
cents higher; elevator bids 8.13-8.58, processor bid 8.98, export bid 
8.98.  Wheat was mostly 9 to 12 cents higher; elevator bids 5.31-5.60. 
   Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.26 
higher at 64.33. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
