SC Farm Report on Thursday  
  	
   Cattle at SC Auctions on Wednesday:  Compared to last week, feeder 
steers and feeder bulls were unevenly steady.  Feeder heifers were 4.00 
lower.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 133.00-148.00, 
500-600 lbs 124.00-137.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 
lbs 121.00-140.00; 500-600 lbs 118.00-131.00.  Feeder Heifers: Medium 
and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 117.00-124.00; 500-550 lbs 113.00.  Slaughter 
cows were steady to 4.00 lower. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 
61.00-75.00; Boners 80-85% lean 53.00-80.00; Lean 85-90% lean 50.00-
59.00; Lean Low Dressing 39.00-49.00. Slaughter bulls were steady. 
Slaughter bulls: 905-2300 lbs 51.00-98.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  No pairs were reported. 
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 1.05 lower at 58.70.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 46.66; 450-500 lbs 53.11; 500-550 lbs 57.02. 
   SC Grain on Thursday.  New Crop Corn was 5 cents higher; elevator bids 
4.64-4.69, processor bids 4.69-4.99.  Soybeans were mostly 11 cents lower 
and one location was 2 cents higher; elevator bids 7.93-8.41, processor 
bid 8.79, export bid 8.79.  New Crop Wheat was mostly 19 to 20 cents 
higher and one location was 41 cents higher; elevator bids 5.05-5.35. 
   Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.15 
lower at 66.09. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State 
Farmers Market on Thursday.  Beets dz bnchs Red and Gold types 20.00, 25
