SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday:  Compared to last week, feeder 
cattle were 2.00 to 4.00 lower. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-
500 lbs 135.00-147.50, 500-600 lbs 128.00-145.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium 
and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 130.00-146.00, 500-600 lbs 124.00-135.00.  
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 118.00-130.00, 500-600 
lbs 113.00-121.00.  Slaughter cows were steady to 3.00 lower. Slaughter 
cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 51.00-69.00; Boners 85-85% lean 55.00-78.00; 
Lean 85-90% lean 50.00-63.00; Lean low dressing 40.00-55.00.  Slaughter 
bulls were unevenly steady.  Slaughter Bulls: 850-2330 lbs 65.00-101.00. 
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2 1015 lbs Young to Middle aged 
cow with calf 150-300 lbs 875.00 per pair. Medium and Large 1-2 710-1050 
lbs Young to Middle Age cows with calves over 300 lbs 825.00-950.00 per 
pair. 
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs was 0.67 higher at 60.38.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 47.39; 450-500 lbs 54.39; 500-550 lbs 57.89. 
   SC Grain on Tuesday: New crop corn was 1 to 2 cents higher; elevator 
bids 4.69-4.74, processor bids 4.75-5.05.  Soybeans were 2 to 4 cents 
higher; elevator bids 8.06-8.51, processor bid 8.92, and export 8.92. 
Wheat was mostly 12 to 13 cents lower; elevator bids 4.87-5.32. 
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.05 
higher at 66.47. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
