SC Farm Report on Thursday  
  	
   Cattle at SC Auctions on Wednesday:  Compared to last week, there 
were too few comparable feeder cattle sales to establish trends.  Feeder 
Steers:  Medium and Large 1-2 400-450 lbs 143.00-151.00, 500-550 lbs 
141.00-143.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 125.00-
146.00, 500-550 lbs 135.00.  Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-450 
lbs 130.00-140.00, 500-600 lbs 124.00-133.00.  Slaughter cows: Breakers 
75-80% lean 39.00-56.00; Boners 85-85% lean 41.00-65.00; Lean 85-90% lean 
42.00; Lean low dressing 25.00-45.00.  Slaughter Bulls: 1185-1845 lbs 
66.00-90.00. 
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium to Large 1-2 945-1530 lbs young to middle age 
cows with 125-580 lbs calves 800.00-1750.00 per pair. Small 1-2 615-825 
lbs Young to Middle Age Cows with 110-285 lbs calves 375.00-875.00 per 
pair.
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 0.44 lower at 57.10.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 41.79; 450-500 lbs 46.09; 500-550 lbs 48.19. 
   SC Grain on Thursday.  New Crop Corn was 1 to 3 cents higher; elevator 
bids 4.17-4.22, processor bids 4.22-4.52.  Soybeans were mostly 8 cents  
higher and one location was 18 cents higher; elevator bids 8.31-8.76, 
processor bid 9.21, export bid 9.26. New Crop Wheat was steady to 1 cent 
lower; elevator bids 4.53-4.83. 
   Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.27 
higher at 74.07. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
