SC Farm Report on Thursday  
  	
   Cattle at SC Auctions on Wednesday:  Compared to last week feeder 
cattle were 2.00 lower based on limited comparable sales.  Feeder Steers:  
Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 147.50-160.00, 500-600 lbs N/A.  
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 135.00-164.00, 500-600 lbs 
132.50-138.00.  Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 127.50-
136.00, 500-600 lbs 125.00-135.00.  Slaughter cows were mostly steady. 
Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 47.00-59.00; Boners 85-85% lean 
48.00-76.00; Lean 85-90% lean 48.00-53.00; Lean low dressing 32.00-48.00. 
Slaughter Bulls: 1090-2225 lbs 65.00-91.00. 
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium to Large 1-2 900-1105 lbs young to middle age 
cows with 150-195 lbs calves 825.00-1025.00 per pair. 
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 0.70 higher at 43.88.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 36.92; 450-500 lbs 44.00; 500-550 lbs 45.45. 
   SC Grain on Thursday.  New Crop Corn was 3 to 4 cents higher; elevator 
bids 4.26-4.29, processor bids 4.32-4.62.  Soybeans were 4 to 5 cents 
higher; elevator bids 8.35-8.81, processor bid 9.20, export bid 9.20. New 
Crop Wheat was steady to 4 cents higher; elevator bids 4.50-4.81. 
   Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.68 
higher at 73.93. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State 
Farmers Market on Thursday.  Beets dz bnchs Red type 20.00, 25 lb sks Red 
type Topped 16.00; Cilantro ctns bnchd 30s 10.00; Greens dz bnchs
