SC Farm Report on Tuesday

    Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday:  Feeder Cattle were unevenly steady to 
2.00 higher. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 160.00-170.00,
500-600 lbs 147.00-165.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs
150.00-177.00, 500-600 lbs 134.00-168.00.  Feeder Heifers: Medium and
Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 133.00-150.00, 500-600 lbs 125.00-140.00.  
Slaughter cows:  Breakers 75-80% lean 61.00-69.00; Boners 85-85% lean 56.00-81.00;
Lean 85-90% lean 56.00-66.00; Lean low dressing 30.00-54.00. Slaughter Bulls:
925-1930 lbs 61.00-94.00. 
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  At Saluda: [4prs] Small to medium frame 1-2 795-955 lbs
young to middle age cows with a 115-145 lbs calves 630.00-870.00 per pair.
At Williamston: [15prs] Medium 1-2 985-1255 lbs young to middle aged cows 
with 100-350 lbs calves 935.00-1350.00 per pair. Small 1-2 660-885 lbs 
young to middle aged cows with 155-305 lbs calves 660.00-1040.00 per 
pair.
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs was 0.63 hiher at 36.58.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 39.55; 450-500 lbs 47.94; 500-550 lbs 49.68. 
   SC Grain on Tuesday.  New crop corn was 4 to 5 cent higher; elevator bids 
4.17-4.22, processor bids 4.23-4.53.  Soybeans were 7 to 8 cents 
; elevator bids 8.22-8.67, processor bid 8.87 and export 9.07.  New Crop Wheat
was mostly 25 to 25 cents higher; elevator bids 4.40-4.70. 
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was at 71.60. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
