SC Farm Report on Tuesday

    Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday:  Trends not available due to light 
offerings and limited comparable sales as a result of extremely wet 
conditions in parts of the trading area.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 
1-2 400-500 lbs 145.00-171.00, 500-600 lbs 139.00-155.00.  Feeder Bulls: 
Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 155.00-170.00, 500-600 lbs 135.00-
157.00.  Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 133.00-150.00, 
500-600 lbs 125.00-136.00.  Slaughter cows:  Breakers 75-80% lean 59.00-
70.00; Boners 85-85% lean 58.00-80.00; Lean 85-90% lean 54.00-64.00; Lean 
low dressing 38.00-48.00. Slaughter Bulls: 1210-2085 lbs 83.00-93.00. 
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1-2 895-1185 lbs Young to Middle Age 
Cows with 100-415 lbs calves 850.00-1525.00 per pair.  
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs was unchanged at 35.99.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 40.34; 450-500 lbs 46.93; 500-550 lbs 48.33. 
   SC Grain on Tuesday.  New crop corn was 1 cent higher; elevator bids 
4.00-4.27, processor bids 4.30-4.60.  Soybeans were mostly 2 to 4 cents 
lower and one location 6 cents higher; elevator bids 8.26-8.69, processor 
bid 9.14 and export 9.14.  New Crop Wheat was mostly 7 cents higher; 
elevator bids 4.28-4.68. 
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.48 
higher at 71.36. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State 
Farmers Market on Tuesday. Beets 25 lb sks Red type Topped 16.00, dz 
bnchs Red type 20.00; Cilantro ctns bnchd 30s 10.00; Greens dz bnchs 
Collards 25.00, Turnips/Mustard 18.00, 1.35 buctns bnchd Kale 24s 20.00,
