SC Farm Report on Thursday  
  	
   Cattle at SC Auctions on Wednesday:  Compared to last week, feeder 
cattle were 2.00 to 3.00 higher.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 
400-450 lbs 162.50, 550-600 lbs 135.00-140.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and 
Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 140.00-160.00, 550-600 lbs 135.00-145.00.  Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 125.00-130.00, 500-600 lbs 
125.00-130.00. Slaughter cows were steady.  Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-
80% lean 40.00-47.00; Boners 85-85% lean 41.00-52.00; Lean 85-90% lean 
41.00-48.00; Lean low dressing 33.00-39.00. Slaughter bulls were steady. 
Slaughter Bulls: 1065-2150 lbs 64.00-77.00. 
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1-2 875-1055 Young Age to Aged Cows 
with 130-295 lbs calves 450.00-1125.00 per pair.  
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 1.80 lower at 38.85.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 27.91; 450-500 lbs 33.44; 500-550 lbs 34.63. 
   SC Grain on Thursday.  Corn was 4 cents lower; elevator bids 4.05-
4.16, processor bids 4.06-4.61.  Soybeans were 8 to 9 cents lower; 
elevator bids 8.38-8.73, processor bid 9.13, export bid 9.13. New crop 
wheat was 4 to 11 cents lower; elevator bids 4.82-5.21. 
   Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.85 
lower at 70.31. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
