SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,434 lbs 123.87, heifers 1,293 lbs 123.83. Dressed delivered 
steers 920 lbs 198.34, heifers 852 lbs 198.17.  Weekly boxed beef 
cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 216.65, dn 0.06, and 
Select 212.64, up 0.88.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm.  Early weaned pigs 4.00 per head 
lower. All Feeder pigs steady to 1.00 per head lower. Demand moderate for
moderate offerings. Receipts include 31% formulated prices. Feeder pigs
10-12 lbs cash basis 56.79; 40 lbs cash basis 70.11.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 0.33 lower at 39.36.  
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 26.08, 450-499 lbs 29.64, and 500-549 lbs 
32.48.
   SC Grain on Monday. New Crop Corn was 1 cent higher; elevator
bids 4.08-4.33, processor bids 4.58-4.68.  Soybeans were steady to 1
cent higher; elevator bids 8.43-8.78, processor bid 9.18 export bid 9.18.
New crop wheat was steady to 1 cent higher; elevator bids 4.93-5.33. 
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.88 
lower at 70.26.
