SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,444 lbs 123.7155, heifers 1,309 lbs 123.49. Dressed delivered 
steers 925 lbs 196.78, heifers 840 lbs 196.80.  Weekly boxed beef 
cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 213.70, dn 2.05, and 
Select 207.20, dn 2.45.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm.  Early weaned pigs and all 
feeder pigs 1.00 per head lower. Demand light to moderate for moderate 
offerings. Receipts include 44% formulated prices. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs 
cash basis 63.77; 40 lbs cash basis 71.59.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 0.02 lower at 38.51.  
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 29.61, 450-499 lbs 33.01, and 500-549 lbs 
37.14.
   SC Grain on Monday. Corn was steady to 1 cent higher; elevator bids 
4.07-4.18, processor bids 4.08-4.63.  Soybeans were 6 to 7 cents lower; 
elevator bids 8.28-8.79, processor bid 9.03, export bid 9.03. New 
crop wheat was mostly 5 to 6 cents lower and one location was 1 cent 
higher. 
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.50 
higher at 70.99.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
