SC Farm Report on Thursday  
  	
   Cattle at SC Auctions on Wednesday:  No trends are available this week 
due to holiday closings December 24, 2018 through January 4, 2019. Feeder 
Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 145.00-159.00, 500-600 lbs 
120.00-139.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 135.00-
145.00, 500-600 lbs 120.00-140.00.  Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 
400-500 lbs 115.00-140.00, 500-600 lbs 115.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers 
75-80% lean 40.00-55.00; Boners 85-85% lean 41.00-59.00; Lean 85-90% lean 
41.00-45.00; Lean low dressing 30.00-39.00.  Slaughter Bulls: 1115-1855 
lbs 53.00-78.00. 
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1-2 925-1305 lbs Young to Middle Age 
Cows with 80-420 lbs calves 675.00-1525.00 per pair.  
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 0.11 lower at 38.89.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 29.73; 450-500 lbs 33.50; 500-550 lbs 36.81. 
   SC Grain on Thursday.  Corn was 6 cents lower; elevator bids 4.04-
4.16, processor bids 4.06-4.61.  Soybeans were 16 to 18 cents lower; 
elevator bids 8.31-8.82, processor bid 9.07, export bid 9.07. New crop 
wheat was 5 to 7 cents lower; elevator bids 4.84-5.24. 
   Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.28 
lower at 70.85. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
